The Yamaha MOTIF XS8 keyboard workstation gives you the power to create, using the Xpanded Articulation Synth engine's 355 MB of WAVE ROM, a studio-style mixing environment and Virtual Circuitry modeling effects to fire your imagination. The XS8 is the flagship of the MOTIF line, and includes a balanced hammer effect keyboard with initial touch/aftertouch. Other features include a studio-style UI with LCD screen, eight assignable knobs, eight faders, and FireWire and Ethernet connectivity and storage of new sounds via an onboard sampling sequencer. The MOTIF XS8 gives you several great new sounds and options, such as acoustic piano, electric piano, and orchestral waves, key-off/legato/cycle wave/random assignable functions, eight elements per voice, half damper, and vocorder. VCM vintage effects include EQ, compression, reverb, phaser, flanger, and wah.

Your song-making assistant
An integrated sampling sequencer and several assignable control parameters give you the flexibility and convenience you need to capture, manipulate and produce the sounds that inspire you. Direct performance recording lets you get results in real time.

Get connected
The XS8 gives you several options for interfacing with your DAW, such as USB, FireWire, Ethernet, and S/PDIF. Improved DAW control lets you work seamlessly with the included Cubase AI software, opening up limitless opportunities for your creativity.

A large (320x640) full-dot color graphic LCD user interface lets you easily monitor what you're doing, while assignable function buttons and a bank of eight knobs and eight faders give you complete control over your work. It's all integrated into a studio-style environment, right on the keyboard!
